Biography
Welcome to I Dream of Dragons. This site is a hub of information for writers, particularly those who write in the fantasy, science fiction and horror genres. But if you've come to this page, it must mean you want to find out more about me, the site keeper and dragon dreamer.

A Fantasy Writer's Blog
For the latest news, please visit the blog, where I talk about the progress on my writing career and share my trials and tribulations.

Briefly, I'm a thirty-something science fiction and fantasy geek with a lifetime love of such nerdy things as Dungeons and Dragons, crazy guitar solos and Apple computers.

I have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of California at Santa Cruz. No, I never did a thing with it, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have worked as a deli clerk, breakfast cook, customer service rep, manager, and excel guru.

My interest in writing began in 2005, when I started listening to podcasts and happened to listen to one called I Should be Writing by Mur Lafferty. Not sure why, but it called to me. I had written some short stories in high school and college and I certainly loved to read, but I had not thought seriously about writing in over a decade.

Nevertheless, I found myself daydreaming about characters and plots and next thing you know, I was starting with writers' rule number one: Sit down and write!

I live in Sacramento, California with my wife, a couple of parental units and about a gazillion cats. And one frightened fish.

Thanks for visiting I Dream of Dragons .
